Upcoming Classes!
Hosted at Farm & Hive in Inkom, ID
Sometimes it helps to have someone light a fire under your butt to get moving on projects you’ve been wanting to come to light! Susie, from Farm & Hive has done just that for me recently. I go to her cute lil’ farm shop every week to pick up raw milk (and other goodies), and once again, she asked me about hosting classes. We often discuss it during the spring, but I tend to be over-full on the scheduled to-do’s that time of year, and it just hasn’t ever worked out. But as of now, my schedule is much more open, and if there’s one thing I know, it’s Plants.

So, I’m very good at growing Plants, and I’m also pretty darn good at teaching people* about their incredible virtues — while also honing in on safety considerations, identification, ethical wild-harvesting and herbal energetics. I went home after seeing Susie and drafted up a potential schedule, which turns out, also worked for her. Sweet! All the following classes will be held at Farm & Hive (click here for location). Please read full class description to make sure it’s the right fit! (Just click the class link for more info, and scroll down a bit).
All classes are listed below, if you want to jump start to the website CLICK HERE.
I’ve been presenting on herbal first aid quite a bit this year, and it’s really something that every mom, dad, hiker, nature lover, etc…should be aware of. Learn to safely identify, utilize and even grow some of these 13 plants that can aid you in reducing the pain, swelling, redness and itch from bug bites, stings and more! Discover other application techniques besides the super simple spit poultice! These plants are very effective and can be growing in the wild, in the garden or the hedge-scape in-between. Learn easy herbal first aid for you and your loved ones that can save you money and give peace of mind, instead of a visit to the clinic!

After that, we’ve got some Wild Plant Walks planned that will skirt the edges of Susie’s farmstead next to the Portneuf River.
Have you ever been out and about with your kiddos and one of them got stung by a wasp? Or maybe you tripped and twisted an ankle, far from the car, during a hike? Maybe you like to be outside in nature with your toddler, but are scared he/she may eat something poisonous, so you avoid going at all?! Well, come walk with me, (Emily — with 25+ years of plant-y experience) and I’ll help you to safely identify and utilize commonly growing wild plants in our SE Idaho region. I’ll help you know which plants you can use for wasp stings, what plants help to reduce inflammation so you can make it back to your car, and how to walk with curious toddlers in the woods.
This nature walk is a wonderful pairing with the 13 Plants you can Chew up and Use on a Bug Bite class. 4 different time slots available!

FREE GUIDE on ETHICAL WILD HARVESTING
Gathering with Grace
This is a precursor to gathering from the wilds of forest, meadow or seashore. I often reference ethical harvesting and want it to be readily available…Over the years I’ve come up with these 7 guidelines, things to keep in mind when you’re wishing to gather from land that is not your garden...
